November 27, 2024 news: The China National Intellectual Property Administration disclosed that Suzhou Yutec Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. has been granted a utility model patent titled "Ultra-Thin Automotive Headlight Module" (Publication No. CN 222047475 U), with the application date of April 2024.

Patent Abstract: This utility model discloses an ultra-thin automotive headlight module comprising a reflector bowl, lens assembly, and LED light source. The focal point of the lens assembly is positioned at the rear edge of the reflector bowl's optical surface, while the LED light source is located at the focal point of the reflector bowl. The automotive headlight module of this utility model relocates the rear focal plane of the lens assembly to the posterior edge of the reflector bowl, where the LED light undergoes beam conditioning and cutoff formation through reflection by the reflector bowl before being directed to the lens assembly for forward projection, thereby creating the required illumination pattern and beam distribution. This innovative configuration enables the reflector bowl's low-beam optical surface to perform dual functions of both beam modulation and light shielding, projecting clearly defined bright/dark zones onto the rear focal plane of the lens assembly which are then imaged forward.
